USLAW NETWORK launches “Short Takes” legal education video series
POSTED OCTOBER 18, 2021
USLAW NETWORK, an international organization composed of independent, full-service law firms, launches a virtual video series that includes 26 discussions on today’s hottest legal topics, forward-thinking initiatives and several areas that address the impact of COVID-19 and how we manage it for a daily work-life balance. In each of these brief video clips – each no more than 15 minutes – USLAW member attorneys and corporate partners lead conversations encompassing six key areas of focus:
- Litigation Trends Post COVID-19
- Corporate Trends Post COVID-19
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Leadership, Management, and Succession
- Technology and Innovation
- Health and Wellness
Each overarching topic includes four to five discussions. Each video conversation is facilitated by Scott C. Carr, director of marketing and community relations at Klinedinst P.C., USLAW’s member firm in San Diego, California. Videos will be released daily through mid-November. Bookmark web.uslaw.org/shorttakes and check back daily at 9 a.m. ET for a new video.
“We are excited to offer this extensive legal education video series that delivers significant and timely information in a compact format,” said Rodney L. Umberger, chair of USLAW NETWORK from Williams Kastner in Washington. “In just 15 minutes a day, USLAW members and our broad client community will be able to easily consume content from a cross-section of legal and business issues that impact business operations, personnel matters and the ever-present hybrid work environment. With so many of us working in a pressure-packed environment, we also will feature a weekly health and wellness video to ensure that we focus on everyone’s well-being.”
With a wide array of topics that cover HIPPA, ADA, regulation or de-regulation, tech innovations, gender diversity and inclusion in the workplace, cyber security, global supply chains, the infrastructure bill, law firm succession planning, today’s political landscape’s impact on juries, health privacy issues, and so much more, viewers will get a few key takeaways from each session.
USLAW and S-E-A, USLAW’s longtime premier corporate partner, recently launched the Live Better initiative that focuses on mind, heart and health. The Wellness Wednesday videos are an extension of this program and provide an opportunity to promote a culture of health and well-being.
