USLAW NETWORK hosts interactive exchange for legal leaders, in-house counsel
POSTED JANUARY 15, 2015
USLAW NETWORK, an international network of full-practice law firms with roots in civil litigation, will host a free one-day event in Chicago fully focused on legal decision makers and in-house counsel. The event – 2015 USLAW NETWORK Legal Leaders & Corporate Counsel Exchange – will be held on March 3, 2015, at The Langham, Chicago.
“We are excited to host this highly interactive legal conference in order to have important dialogue on some of today’s hottest legal issues facing corporate counsel,” said Roger M. Yaffe, CEO of USLAW NETWORK. “We’ve created information-packed educational sessions that will generate dialogue and debate while also delivering ready-to-implement solutions and best practices.”
With the ever-changing and ever-dynamic nature of the digital age in which we live, work and play, as well as the expansive role of the chief legal officer as the chief-of-almost-everything, today’s legal leaders and in-house counsel face some daunting challenges. This event – a continuation of USLAW’s Driving the Dialogue Series – will address many of these challenges. The event includes four simultaneous tracks featuring case studies and highly interactive presentations:
- Protecting Your Business in the Digital Age
- Anatomy of a Cross-Border Acquisition
- Drafting, Defending and Litigating Contract Clauses
- General Counsel Risk Management
As a legal leader or in-house corporate counsel, today it is not good enough to simply sit back and manage risk. Counsel must act as a clairvoyant, adding value to the business through proactive risk mitigation, especially in light of the heightened global regulatory burden. Pressure to reduce legal spend and improve compliance programs is front and center. This event tackles these challenges head on. The Exchange continues the “Driving the Dialogue” theme of recent USLAW events where discussion is required and talking heads do not attend.
