POSTED APRIL 26, 2022
USLAW NETWORK has named Cheryl Hanley, a marketing and business development leader from Cleveland, Ohio, as its USLAW NETWORK practice group, special projects and corporate partner director, a newly created position.
“Cheryl (Hanley) brings more than 11 years of experience from within the legal arena – and law firms in particular – and we look forward to working with her to expand the positive impact our dozens of practice groups, exclusive corporate partners and several important initiatives have on members and their clients’ legal needs,” said Roger M. Yaffe, CEO of USLAW NETWORK.
Hanley, who previously was director of marketing and business development for a full-service law firm serving clients globally, will manage USLAW’s 24 practice groups while helping to set and implement each group’s strategic direction, initiatives, and business development efforts. Hanley will work with each group’s leadership team, group membership and Board liaisons while providing thought leadership and expanding client relationships. Hanley will also serve as the primary staff liaison for other critical and ongoing USLAW initiatives, including the USLAW’s Managing Partner Forum, Future Leaders, DEI initiatives and Live Better, USLAW and S-E-A’s health and wellness program.
Hanley’s career has been centered on client service, project management, account management and innovation to create opportunities for future growth. Her diverse background is a blend of all aspects of business development, marketing, public relations and advertising, including as a billable member of professional service organizations and a product manager for a global manufacturing company. She has most recently spent over a decade in business development and marketing leadership roles for several Cleveland-based law firms.
Hanley is a graduate of Kent State University with a B.S. in advertising and a minor in business management. She has been a member of the Legal Marketing Association since 2011 and devotes her spare time to volunteer leadership roles with several nonprofit organizations.
