Charles Norton, Linda Thoede named USLAW NETWORK Bill Burns Award recipients

At the recent Fall 2021 USLAW NETWORK Client Conference, USLAW NETWORK named Charles L. Norton, Jr. and Linda G. Thoede as the co-recipients of the USLAW NETWORK Bill Burns Award. USLAW created the award to annually recognize a client who has shown outstanding service and dedication to USLAW. The award is named after Bill Burns, a longtime transportation risk management and litigation leader for Landstar System, a Jacksonville, Florida-based transportation company.

“Charles (Norton) and Linda (Thoede) provide significant expertise, insight and advice to USLAW leadership, ensuring USLAW and our member law firms meet the expectations of the client community,” said Dan L. Longo, immediate past chair of USLAW and managing partner at Murchison & Cumming LLP in Los Angeles. “In addition to their professional insight, they are longtime friends of the NETWORK, and we are truly pleased to present them with the Bill Burns Award.”

Norton, general counsel and corporate secretary of The Coca Cola Bottlers’ Association, and Thoede, a senior attorney and trusted advisor in the insurance, retail and transportation industries, have long served on the USLAW Client Leadership Council (CLC). Norton is the current chair and Thoede is a past chair of the USLAW CLC.
