Scott Mason

Scott has a broad-based litigation practice which focuses primarily on the construction and energy industries. His construction experience includes litigation and arbitration of claims ranging from construction defect to worksite injuries, before courts and arbitration panels throughout Louisiana. In the energy industry, Scott has extensive experience with pipeline safety law, and has represented pipeline companies in matters ranging from casualty litigation to regulatory compliance. Scott has also represented energy companies in legacy litigation arising out of historical oil and gas exploration and production.

Apart from his construction and energy experience, Scott has litigation experience in several other areas, including automobile liability, premises liability, environmental exposure and commercial litigation. Much of his experience involves appellate practice, including the submission of writ applications to the Louisiana Supreme Court and courts of appeal. Scott has briefed and argued numerous appeals, and has successfully defended summary judgments and favorable verdicts on appeal.
