Randall E. (Randy) Day, III is a shareholder with the law firm of Copeland, Cook, Taylor, & Bush, P.A. and practices in the firm’s Ridgeland, Mississippi, office. Randy received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1984 and worked as a high school teacher and coach until deciding to pursue a law degree in 1991. He obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Mississippi School of Law in December 1993. Randy’s practice focuses on the representation of employers in all areas of employment law, litigation, and administrative proceedings, with extensive experience in discrimination and retaliation cases of all types and wage and hour disputes. Randy has advised and represented employers before administrative agencies, tried lawsuits in state and federal courts and handled appeals at all levels. Randy also advises health care clients in regulatory matters and has litigated reimbursement disputes before administrative agencies as well as qui tam litigation in federal court. Since being admitted to the Bar, Randy has practiced in the areas of personal injury defense, premises liability, insurance coverage law and bad faith litigation. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Mississippi as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Randy is a member of the American Bar Association, the Mississippi Bar Association and the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association.
