Patrick K. McMonigle

Pat McMonigle is an experienced trial attorney who has successfully litigated a wide spectrum of civil disputes in both the state and federal court systems involving the truck transportation, manufacturing, construction, real estate and insurance industries, among others. He also serves as business and trial counsel to clients in a variety of areas, including casualty, employment, fraud, business organization, and transactional matters. Pat provides regional casualty and safety counsel to a substantial number of the most successful transportation companies in the U.S. His transportation law experience began with his involvement in many major regulatory cases involving the truck transportation industry during the deregulation of trucking. Pat is currently trial counsel to a multitude of transportation clients in the defense of catastrophic accident litigation, and leads his firms raid response team, which provides assistance in the investigation and preservation of evidence in casualty events throughout the country. Pat is a past president of the Transportation Lawyers Association (TLA), an international bar association of transportation attorneys, and is a past recipient of TLA’s Distinguished Service Award. He currently serves as a voting past president on its Executive Committee. He is also a member of Transportation Industry Defense Association (TIDA) the Missouri Association of Defense Lawyers (MODL), and has chaired the Transportation Committee of The Missouri Bar. He is a cum laude graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, and graduated, with distinction, from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. He has been recognized as a Super Lawyer every year since the inception of the honor in 2005, and has been selected for inclusion in the U.S. New & World Report’s Best Lawyers list.
