Molly Arranz is the chair of Amundsen Davis's Cybersecurity & Data Privacy Service Group. She is a certified privacy professional (CIPP-US) and a recognized Privacy Law Specialist by the American Bar Association. Molly has advised a range of companies on their incident response protocol and has served as a breach coach for multinational and international companies. She also counsels clients on protecting against cyber and privacy invasions and guides companies as to compliance considerations for consumer protection regulations, including state and federally mandated notification, disclosure and consent requirements. She's advised a global telecommunications software and cloud computing company on compliance issues for its cloud services. As a partner in Amundsen Davis's Class Action Service Group, Molly has defended more than 80 class actions involving a range of legal theories, including privacy violations, consumer fraud, breach of contract, breach of warranty and consumer misrepresentation. She defends clients in claims arising from alleged violations of federal statutes, including the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). In one recent consumer class action, she defeated class certification, tried the case to a defense verdict and won the appeal of the matter before the D.C. Court of Appeals.
