Michael F. Nerone

Michael Nerone is a shareholder and one of the founders of Pion, Nerone, Girman, Winslow & Smith, P.C. His practice is focused primarily in the areas of transportation law, insurance coverage litigation, bad faith defense and prevention, product liability law and general civil litigation. Michael Nerone regularly manages catastrophic losses from the time of occurrence and investigation up through and including verdicts and post-trial appeals. He has been published regularly throughout his legal career beginning with the Duquesne Law Review while he was in law school and more recently in transportation periodicals, Andrews Insurance Industry Litigation Reporter, Best Weekly Property/Casualty News and Trends, Insurance Advocate and others. Michael is a member of TIDA and is and has been for several years Chairman of the TIDA Amicus committee. Michael is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before all of the Pennsylvania State Courts, the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. Michael is a member of the Defense Research Institute, the Pennsylvania Defense Institute and the Trucking Industry Defense Association. Michael graduated from Duquesne University in 1988 with a B.S. in Accounting. He obtained his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 1991.
