James Henges (“Jim”) is an AV Rated attorney with over twenty years of experience in civil litigation. He practices in state and federal courts across Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Although experienced in many facets of civil litigation, Jim primarily practices in the areas of labor & employment law, insurance defense (first and third party), and construction law and possesses first chair trial experience in each of these areas. He is also experienced in arbitrating cases of these types before the American Arbitration Association and in other forums. Jim is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Jim is active in a number of civic organizations including the Boy Scouts of America and Rotary International. Jim is the father of three sons and is active in their schools, youth sports organizations, and scouting organizations. Jim is a native of Beaumont, and while maintaining an active case load in Beaumont, practices throughout Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Jim earned an LL.M. in Labor & Employment Law from Georgetown University Law School in Washington, D.C. in 1996. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from Oklahoma City University Law School, where he graduated cum laude, in 1994. While in law school, Jim served as the Notes and Comments editor of the Oklahoma City University Law Review and was also a member of the Moot Court Board. Jim earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas A&M University in 1990 where he was a member of Texas A&M’s Corps of Cadets.
