Scott Ferris has litigated and tried criminal, civil and workers' compensation claims. He has defended against 132(a) claims and serious and willful misconduct allegations. He has developed methods of litigating both workers' compensation claims and subrogation actions concurrently to save the client money on having to pay for two attorneys for such litigation and to enable the client to obtain reimbursement for benefits paid while closing the workers' compensation matter. Scott has represented insurance companies, self-insured employers, cities, counties, hospitals, and school districts. He has worked throughout the Southern California workers' compensation appeals boards and is familiar with all aspects of the various workers' compensation appeals boards and judges. Scott graduated with honors from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Arts in English. He then received his Juris Doctorate Degree from Southwestern University and became a member of the California State Bar in 1999. While away from work, Scott can be found coaching his kids' teams, reading, and cooking for his family.
