Diane Lee Newman has more than twenty years of experience defending workers' compensation cases in all phases of litigation and appeals. She has represented employers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators in all traditional areas of workers' compensation practice with additional focus in matters involving health care, health insurance and managed care, non-profit organizations and municipal and governmental entities. In addition, she has served as dedicated counsel to employers where she defended claims involving both workers' compensation as well as employment-related litigation, often involving the same claimant.
Lee is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, Philadelphia Bar Association - Workers' Compensation Section and has been selected to serve as author of Bisel's Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Update, a monthly publication. She has lectured at the annual Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Conference and has served as an adjunct instructor for the Community College of Philadelphia's Paralegal Studies Program, teaching workers' compensation and employment-related classes.
Lee is admitted to the Bars of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey. She has served as an arbitrator for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas and has acted as a volunteer Mediator for the EEOC.
