Deborah E. Sperati

Deborah Sperati is a partner in the financial services section at Poyner Spruill LLP, focusing her practice primarily on creditors' rights, loan workouts, title disputes, and civil and commercial litigation. Deborah also leads the Brewery, Winery and Distillery Practice Group, representing businesses in obtaining proper licensing and permitting by federal, state and local authorities. In addition to practicing law, Deborah is the founder and co-owner of Koi Pond Brewing Company, the first craft brewery in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. As a sommelier and brewery owner, she enjoys working with others in the industry to better equip their businesses for success and to promote all that eastern NC has to offer. Deborah received her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Carolina.
