The firm’s partners are assisted by a team of associate advocates, paralegal staff, accountants, tax consultants and advisors. Our organizational structure is geared towards providing a personalized service to all our clients, both in Malta and overseas. A client deals with only one partner, with other professionals within the firm being called in on an ad hoc basis according to the nature of the assignment.

The ethos of the firm is to provide its clients with a one-stop-shop service both with regards to, primarily legal services, but also with regards to those ancillary services which clients may require to set up and maintain a company or a business in Malta or acquire Maltese residence. EMD is also, at times, requested by other firms to provide advice and assistance both in Malta and overseas. Furthermore, through our extensive network of foreign correspondent firms, particularly in Europe, North America, North Africa and Asia, EMD is able to source expertise which may be required in connection with specific engagements relating to such territories. Over the past months, EMD has been involved in assisting clients seeking to set up operations in Libya or involving the Libyan market, this is particularly due to the geographical proximity of Malta with Libya. Partners and staff are members of the Malta Chamber of Advocates, the Institute of Financial Services Practitioners and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), amongst others.

EMD places great emphasis on continued education and its staff attend training programmes and informative seminars on various legal topics on a regular basis. Furthermore, various partners and staff members lecture at the University of Malta and other educational institutions.
