JULY 10 – EVENING
DINNER AND WINE PAIRING AT INGLENOOK
WEDNESDAY JULY 10, 2024 | 7:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M. | Founded in 1879, Inglenook was the dream of Gustave Niebaum who wanted to create wines from an expressly American terroir that would equal those made in the great wineries of Europe. Today, the estate is comprised of 1700 contiguous acres – 235 of which are organically certified vineyards – located in Napa Valley’s Rutherford appellation, and is one of the few remaining family-owned wine estates of this magnitude in America. Being one of the cornerstones of the region’s wine history, Inglenook has been setting standards of excellence in winemaking that can be measured in decades. Since its inaugural vintage in 1978, Rubicon has been the Estate’s premier red wine, reflecting the soul of the property and expressing Francis Coppola’s wish to create a Bordeaux-styled grand wine, that is, “a wine that can please contemporary taste, but with a historical aspect that define our vineyards at their zenith.” Attire: Business Casual.
JULY 11 – AFTERNOON
LUNCH AND WINE TASTING AT PIAZZA DEL DOTTO
THURSDAY JULY 11, 2024 | 12:15 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. | Located in the beautiful Napa Valley, Del Dotto Family Wineries & Caves focus on small production, premium wines. Dave Del Dotto has spent the past 30 years acquiring vineyards in some of the best American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) including Rutherford, Oakville, St. Helena, Howell Mountain, and Fort Ross-Seaview Sonoma Coast. Currently, the family produces cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, sangiovese and sauvignon blanc from their Napa Valley vineyards, as well as pinot noir, chardonnay and limited amounts of syrah, sauvignon blanc, sparkling grenache and mourvedre from their Cinghiale (wild boar) Vineyard in the King Ridge region of the Sonoma Coast. Their newest winery, Piazza Del Dotto begins with an Italian-inspired “barchessa,” or barn, surrounded by 8.5 acres of cabernet sauvignon, vegetable gardens, 17th century fountains and an outdoor barn with turkeys, peacocks, pheasants and doves. Today, we will enjoy lunch at the Piazza followed by a very special wine tasting.
