USLAW NETWORK Foundation welcomes two new board members

The USLAW NETWORK Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization created exclusively for charitable and educational purposes, announces the appointment of two new members to its board of directors: Steffany Cunningham, National Express Corporation’s general counsel – North America, and Ami Dwyer, SEA, Ltd.’s general counsel.
“We are excited to welcome Steffany (Cunningham) and Ami (Dwyer) to our Foundation board,” said USLAW Chair Kenneth B. Wingate of Sweeny, Wingate & Barrow, P.A. in South Carolina. “They bring deep professional leadership experience and a passion to support the mission and efforts of the USLAW NETWORK Foundation. They join our talented board that is committed to creating opportunities and supporting the next generation of lawyers and those pursuing their legal studies.”
Steffany Cunningham is a strategic business partner and broad corporate generalist with over 25 years of collective experience managing commercial, transactional (both domestic and international), contractual, real estate, M&A, and compliance matters on behalf of organizations. She joined National Express in 2019 as vice president and assistant general counsel, contracts and corporate governance until her promotion to general counsel – North America in January 2022. Prior to joining National Express, she served for six years in the legal department of DirectBuy, Inc. She has also held positions with the Walt Disney Co., Northern Trust Co. and Sears Roebuck & Co. Steffany is a member of the Black Women Lawyers’ Association of Greater Chicago, a board member of the Cornerstone Ministries Food Drive, and a Chicago Urban League Impact Mentor. She holds a J.D. from Creighton University School of Law and a B.S. from Northwestern University in Industrial Engineering & Management Services
As general counsel for SEA, Ltd., a forensic engineering company with a national footprint, Ami Dwyer leads S-E-A’s legal affairs by providing strategic legal counsel, overseeing contract negotiations, litigation, risk management and corporate governance. She plays an active role in developing and implementing corporate policies and procedures and provides guidance on key decisions for the individual business units. Prior to joining S-E-A, Ami was a partner at the law firm of Franklin & Prokopik, where she focused her practice on all aspects of litigation, primarily in the construction industry. During her time in private practice, she was active in leadership in many legal and industry organizations. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from Loyola University Maryland and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
