HURRY HARD! - A CANADIAN CURLING BONSPIEL

Curling is thought to have been invented in medieval Scotland, with the first written reference to a contest using stones on ice dating back to February 1541. USLAW guests will engage in a much more modern version of this ancient game when they don their sliders and prepare their stones for throwing to the house and skip during this interactive curling lesson and friendly team competition. The Hillcrest Centre is home to the Vancouver Curling Club, a state-of-the-art facility that was a featured venue for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games. Located 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver, guests will enjoy the scenic drive with views of the city and surrounding mountains in route to the venue. After an introduction to the game, teams of four will be participate in fun and competitive curling games led by the club’s instructors. Teams will have exclusive access to the Player’s Lounge throughout the tournament where snacks and beverages will be served.

GROUSE MOUNTAIN, LUNCH, AND ENTERTAINMENT!

A quick 10-minute ride from downtown Vancouver takes you to the city of North Vancouver, gateway to the Coast Mountains and home to the most spectacular views of Vancouver, the Lower Mainland and on clear days, as far as Washington to the south and Vancouver Island to the west. The North Shore excursion takes guests over the famous Lions Gate Bridge (built by the Guinness brewing family!) and up to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain.
