USLAW releases newest 50-state compendium of law: Employee Rights on Initial Medical Treatment

POSTED AUGUST 24, 2015

USLAW NETWORK today releases a new state-by state compendium of law focused on Employee Rights regarding Initial Medical Treatment. Fred L. Hubbs of Hall Booth Smith P.C. in Georgia served as the editor.

When an employee is injured at work, what are their rights with respect to receiving paid medical treatment and what steps should the employer consider? This new Compendium provides a state-by-state analysis of employers’ obligations after a compensable accident has been reported and also explains whether a state utilizes a panel system of physicians or a broader program. The compendium also is meant to provide employers with crucial information for the critical, initial phase of an accident investigation.

“We are pleased to provide this new compendium as a useful resource to employers across the nation who are faced with various workers’ comp situations,” said Roger M. Yaffe, CEO of USLAW. “This is an easy-to-use resource that will help employers and their employees know the first steps to take when an employee is injured in the workplace.”

USLAW’s state-by-state Employee Rights on Initial Medical Treatment Compendium takes advantage of USLAW’s knowledge and experience of all 50 states plus Washington, D.C. To access and download the compendium, click HERE.
