Tonight, we are off to “Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous: Dining in Dana Point and Laguna Beach.” Four of the finest restaurants in the area have been selected to host USLAW. You will find an eclectic blend of food, fun and culture at each restaurant, which have been strategically selected to host dinners on behalf of the USLAW Practice Groups conducting educational tracks at this Conference. This is a great place to network with your fellow USLAW attorneys and invited clients. Please select one restaurant at the time of submitting your conference registration. Please note that all restaurants have limited capacities. Space will be held on a first-come, first-served basis. Listing of practice groups associated with each restaurant is for reference only. Broadway by Amar Santana
Santana an award-winning chef along with his partner Ahmed Labbate, have created an atmosphere where the food becomes the main “show”. The restaurant’s menu is inspired by the creativity of Chef Amar Santana and his version of Modern Cuisine of The Americas. It features top quality ingredients, with a focus on local farms who can provide the menu’s seasonal requirements. The interior reflects an industrial New York look with an open kitchen that will be the center stage, with six coveted seats at the chef’s table overlooking the activity of the kitchen. Images of New York Skylines, Times Square, and of course, Broadway will surround you as you indulge in this “cutting edge” food experience.

Selanne Steak Tavern
Enjoy succulent steaks and chops, superb poultry, game and seafood, artisan cocktails, beers, and selections from our 2,750-bottle wine list (focused on California cult wines and other highly rated, world class wines) in any of our five classic dining settings: The Loft, our upstairs dining room; the bistro-style Wine Library; the handsome Tavern; or outside on the relaxing Veranda or Sunset Terrace. In addition, groups up to 12 can reserve our elite private dining experience dinner experience with a customized multi-course menu and paired wines.

Mozambique
It’s exotic, exciting, adventurous. It’s also warm, relaxing, and friendly. Portuguese sailors discovered Mozambique on one of the many stops they made to replenish supplies while on their way to the spice-rich countries in the East and Far East. Its coastline is rich in tropical fruits, seafood and other staples needed for the long days and nights at sea…and it was here that they discovered a little-known spice called Peri-Peri. This unique spice is still used today in the country’s colorful seaside restaurants–like Reliquias, Miramar, Ferroviaro and Costa del Sol–where scores of locals and visitors line up for mouth-watering Peri-Peri chicken and giant grilled Peri-Peri prawns best enjoyed with a cold lager. It was this same magnificent country where two young boys independently piled up scores of family vacation memories. Year after year, their families trekked for miles across South Africa eagerly anticipating the gorgeous beaches, reefs, and generous people of Mozambique. But more than anything, they had to satisfy their undying craving for Peri-Peri. When they met later in life, the two young men bonded around their common love for this flavorful food, and it cemented a lifetime of friendship. They vowed they would one day open their own seaside restaurant, so they would never be far from Peri-Peri prawns or Peri-Peri chicken ever again. Forty years later, with the help of a California kid their time has come. Mozambique brings the tastes and smells from the beaches of Mozambique to Laguna Beach – creating an unforgettable experience that is exotic and yet close to heart and home.

Years before their doors opened in July of 1996, Tim McCune and his original business partner, Pete Truxaw, dreamed of creating a neighborhood restaurant tailored to their community. They envisioned an upscale yet casual American-themed grille, where friends and family would come to relax and savor a unique dining experience. It was from that dream that Salt Creek Grille was born. Their culinary approach follows the time-honored tradition of grilling meats over hot, mesquite embers. With a dedication to sourcing responsibly, the food is crafted with the freshest meats, poultry, fish, and produce available. The menu may be paired with unique wines from boutique vineyards and well-known cellars, catering to both the connoisseur and casual taster.

USLAW ON FIRE

FRIDAY OCT 6, 2023 | 7:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M. | Tonight, we set the sky afire as lightning and flame join forces for an acrobatic dance of amazement. Mesmerized, you’ll track the tracers of fire and the flashes of electricity in motion as it unveils a stunning visual array of light and power. This is a spectacle truly like no other. Performed outdoors, under the majestic skies of southern California, tonight’s performances pair perfectly with the libations and fine delectables prepared specifically to compliment tonight’s awe-inspiring show. Attire: Casual.

CLOSING RECEPTION HONORING THE STARS OF HOLLYWOOD

SATURDAY OCT 7, 2023 | 7:00 P.M. – 10:00 P.M. | Perhaps few things encapsulate stunning Southern California quite like Hollywood. Her glitz, her mystique, and her glamour have come to symbolize this Star-making Capital of the World. Tonight, we tip our hat to this legendary land in typical USLAW fashion. From walking the red carpet, to the Walk of Fame, and a Night at the Oscars, we will celebrate all things Hollywood as we raise a glass to Hollywood’s greatest legends and toast her up-and-coming stars. Attire: Casual.
