Timothy R. Smith

Tim Smith is a founding partner of Pion, Nerone, Girman, Winslow & Smith, P.C. His complex litigation practice is concentrated in the areas of transportation law, commercial litigation, insurance coverage, and product liability law. Previously, Tim served as national trial counsel for a Fortune 100 corporation and its subsidiaries. He also gained valuable industry experience and knowledge while working for a Fortune 500 Insurer. Tim is a lecturer on catastrophic response, risk management, risk transfer, alternative dispute resolution, and insurance coverage issues. He has written about these topics in various publications. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations. He is admitted to practice before the state courts of Pennsylvania and the United States District Courts for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the Middle District of Pennsylvania. He has presented appellate arguments before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Superior Court of Pennsylvania. He is a member of TIDA and the Defense Research Institute. In addition to his litigation practice, Tim serves as a mediator. He brings a breadth of litigation experience and geographic reach to mediations or arbitrations.
