Michael A. Shadiack is a partner in and the chairperson of Connell Foley’s Labor and Employment Law Practice Group in its Roseland, New Jersey office. He is counsel to privately-owned businesses, international corporations, non-profit organizations, and institutions of higher education. Mr. Shadiack provides pro-active compliance counseling to employers on a wide array of personnel and benefit issues to assist them in making employment-related decisions intended to avoid or reduce the risks of litigation. He has extensive experience in defending employers in litigation in state and federal courts, as well as before state and federal administrative agencies. He also conducts workplace training on avoiding workplace harassment and discrimination, hiring and firing best practices, managing employee medical leaves, and conducting effective internal investigations. Mr. Shadiack also drafts employee handbooks, which are tailored to the employer’s specific employment practices. Mr. Shadiack earned his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law.
