Ellie Bailey

Ellie Bailey is a partner with Riter Rogers LLP and has been with the Firm since 2022. Her current practice includes civil litigation, regulatory and utility law, and lobbying.

Prior to joining private practice, Ellie worked in government for 10 years, most recently as an Assistant United States Attorney. Her focus during that time was civil litigation, including healthcare fraud and collections work. Before working as an AUSA, Ellie served as Deputy General Counsel to former South Dakota Governor, Dennis Daugaard and also worked as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of South Dakota.

Ellie received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the College of Saint Benedict. She graduated with honors from the University of South Dakota, School of Law and was Editor-in- Chief of the South Dakota Law Review. Following Law School, she clerked for the South Dakota Supreme Court.
