Charles Baxter named USLAW NETWORK Bill Burns Award recipient

USLAW NETWORK names Charles E. Baxter, vice president of risk management for United Road, as the 2022 USLAW NETWORK Bill Burns Award recipient. USLAW created the award to annually recognize a client who has shown outstanding service and dedication to USLAW. The award is named after Bill Burns, a longtime transportation risk management and litigation leader for Landstar System, a Jacksonville, Florida-based transportation company.

The award was presented during the Fall 2022 USLAW NETWORK Client Conference in Austin, Texas.

“Charles was introduced to USLAW in 2003, and what started out as work with one firm has expanded to dozens of firms over the years,’ said Rodney L. Umberger, immediate past chair of USLAW and a Member in the Seattle office of Williams Kastner when presenting the award. “Charles’ support of the NETWORK through the years demonstrates how this NETWORK works for clients and their legal needs. Charles is extremely loyal, and not only does he deliver excellence, but he expects excellence from his outside counsel. These are just some of the words that exemplify who he is, and we are thrilled to present Charles with the USLW NETWORK Bill Burns Award.”

Baxter has served as a longtime member of the USLAW NETWORK Client Leadership Council, which comprises several of the most supportive clients of USLAW NETWORK firms. He regularly provides insight and guidance specific to USLAW’s strategic direction and support of clients, including its program and services.
